Toronto, ON: - The 2009 OHF Championships took place on the weekend of April 10-12, 2009 in communities throughout the OHF. The competing teams consisted of the Division Champions from the four OHF minor hockey Member Partners: Alliance Hockey [ALLIANCE], Greater Toronto Hockey League [GTHL], Northern Ontario Hockey Association [NOHA], and the Ontario Minor Hockey Association [OMHA] along with the Host team. For a consecutive year, a host team has won the Bantam A and Juvenile Championships. The Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs remain the Atom AAA title champions for a second year.
The All-Ontario PeeWee AAA Championship, hosted by York Simcoe Express [OMHA] and the All-Ontario Bantam AAA Championship, hosted by the Soo Greyhounds [NOHA] include four teams from the OHF, a team from the HNO and the ODMHA plus the host team vying for the provincial title. The Central Region Midget AAA Championship, hosted by the Burlington Eagles [OMHA] included four OHF teams, two teams from the ODMHA plus a host team.
The host team, York Simcoe Express won the PeeWee AAA title. The Toronto Marlboros’ collected the GTHL’s sixth Bantam AAA gold medal. The Hamilton Reps advance to the National TELUS Cup, to be held in Selkirk, Manitoba from April 20-26, 2009.

Congratulations to the Dundas Real McCoys for winning the OHF Senior Championships and advancing to represent the OHF at the Allan Cup. The Allan Cup begins on April 13, 2009 in Steinbach, Manitoba and consists of championship teams from Pacific, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, OHF and Hockey Northwestern Ontario.
The Dudley Hewitt Cup will begin on April 21, 2009 hosted by the Schreiber Diesels Jr. A hockey club. The winner of this central region championship will compete at the National RBC Royal Bank Cup, hosted by the Victoria Grizzlies [BC] beginning on May 2, 2009.
