Cumberland wins tournament The Cumberland Jr. Grads Major Peewee A team went undefeated to win the WMHA Tournament in Walden, just outside of Sudbury, Oct. 16-18. The Grads knocked off the host team in the final to capture the championship.
Midget Showcase and Winter Games schedules finalized The schedules for the Ontario Winter Games Qualification Tournament and the two Midget Showcases are now available. Winter Games contests will be played by Peewee AA teams Dec. 19-20 at Spenceville Arena in Spencerville and at Durrell Area in Gloucester. The Midget AA Showcase will also take place at Durrell Arena on Dec. 19. And the Minor Midget AA Showcase will occur Jan. 9-16, 2010 at Durrell and Armstrong Arenas. OEMHL adopts taping policy The Ontario East Minor Hockey League has adopted a no videotaping policy of games from ice level. This includes from behind the bench, or in the penalty or timekeeper’s box. Parents are still permitted to videotape action from the stands providing no spectators or players are on camera against their wishes, video is not upload to the Internet, and the intent of the tape is no to record one sole player (unless that player is that of the parent’s).
New OEMHL partner The OEMHL’s AA and A leagues have announced a three-season agreement with Sport Vision. This agreement makes Sports Vision the official supplier for all league awards and apparel through to the 2012/13 season. |
